Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist Position

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Albert Einstein School of Medicine is seeking to expand our Cardiac Intensive Care faculty at any academic rank to join our growing and dynamic Cardiovascular Care Unit team. The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore is a quaternary care, academic children’s hospital in New York City, serving the diverse patient population of the Bronx, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley and provides over 9,000 consultation and follow-up visits to children and 400 adult congenital heart disease visits per year in the region. 

Candidates should be board-certified/eligible in pediatric cardiology or pediatric critical care with additional training in cardiac intensive care, or board certified/eligible in both subspecialties.  Preference will be given to those who are experienced in pediatric cardiac intensive care and are interested in joining an academic center with research and leadership opportunities aligned with their aims for professional growth.

Our ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, advanced care providers, fellows and other faculty. We are particularly interested in applicants with a passion for trainee education at all levels, and an interest in performing basic science or clinical research. Most importantly, the candidate must be an outstanding clinician dedicated to the culturally-competent care of hospitalized children and their families.

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore is growing and consists of pediatric cardiologists with specialist expertise in all subspecialty fields including:  fetal cardiology, heart failure and transplant, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, cardiac intensive care, preventive cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease. The Division has an ACGME accredited pediatric cardiology fellowship program in addition to the Department’s pediatric residency program. All members of the Division have faculty appointments at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a major biomedical and clinical research facility. 

In addition to a competitive salary of $300,000-$375,000 commensurate with academic rank, we offer the opportunity to enhance compensation with clinical productivity incentives and bonuses.
