APPs in the Cardiac Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at Seattle Children's function at a high level of clinical practice managing a wide range of complexity and intermediate care acuity. Busy CV surgery program, VAD center, high volume pediatric heart failure and transplant center. APPs are involved in QI, teaching, and ongoing professional development. 

Seattle Children's has a 24 bed CICU. Adding 6 TCU beds. Front line provider coverage model primarily consists of APPs. No residents.
