Overview
This two-day course builds upon the CICU basics! It consists of a combination of didactic content and interactive breakouts that incorporate application of knowledge and simulation. Advanced CICU topics will be presented including ventilation and cardiopulmonary interactions, utilization of echo and cardiac cath data in the CICU, temporary pacemaker troubleshooting, management of residual lesions, difficult conversations and team training, and much more. The course will be taught by PCICS experts and both faculty and participants will be multidisciplinary (RNs, APPs, physicians). The course is an opportunity for multidisciplinary team learning with colleagues from various institutions.
