This introductory session will explore the foundations of effective hot and cold debriefing in the CICU environment. Participants will learn core principles of structured debriefing, how to integrate debriefs reliably into clinical workflow, and the essential role of psychological safety in promoting honest reflection and team learning. Through practical guidance and real-world examples, the session will provide teams with strategies to create safe, supportive, and actionable debriefing practices that strengthen communication, performance, and patient safety.
