Advanced Practice Provider Curriculum
This curriculum provides standardized education for institutions when hiring and orienting new advanced practice providers (APPs) to pediatric cardiac intensive and acute care. The curriculum may also be used by the APP as a resource to guide their practice. The curriculum is evidenced-based and structured as a real-time resource to be used in the clinical setting. It contains a bulleted outline of critical, didactic management content necessary to develop critical thinking skills to care for the pediatric cardiac patient. Many of the sections are accompanied by case scenarios - actual critical care situations that require assessment and decision making by the APP and are intended for learners to evaluate their knowledge and critical thinking skills. References are included at the end of each section or specific topic to enable the learner to easily access more detailed information.
