Clinical Data Coordinator

Clinical Data Coordinator Reviews, verifies, and documents Critical Care patient information and clinical data necessary to perform data collection for the VPS/Prism, CPQCC, CHND and/or PC4 date registries. Audits and verifies completeness of patient chart per the Joint Commission Standards. Supports hospital quality and utilization management efforts in collaboration with team members comprised of nurses and physicians. Using computer skills, retrieves data from a variety of sources to include: EPIC, Access, ED and Trauma Resuscitation Forms, Admission and Discharge records and inpatient charts. Maintains adequate security for various types of data. Initiates and assists in research projects, as indicated. Participates in required Quality Management activities and attends mandatory meetings. Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
Associate's Degree (Minimum) • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Area of Study • Area of Study in a Field Related to the Position (Minimum)
3 Years of Experience (Minimum), 5 Years of Experience (Preferred)
Other01 (Minimum) Working knowledge of the health record, computer system and data integrity/processing techniques needed
Other02 (Minimum) Current RN or R.R.T. license
Other03 (Preferred) Able to apply physiologic, anatomic and clinical theory to abstract and analyze each patient admitted to Critical Care
