CICU Hospitalists- CHOP
The 32-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) integrates recent Pediatric residency graduates, Pediatric critical care, or cardiology fellowship-trained physicians into our care model delivery as CICU Hospital-Physician (CICU Hospitalist) under the guidance of a Cardiac ICU attending physician. Hospital-Physicians in Cardiac Intensive Care have the following opportunities available to them:
- Be the primary clinician caring for critically ill children alongside excellent Cardiac Critical Care Medicine faculty, and partnering with advanced practice providers
- Learn fascinating pathophysiology of infants and children with critical heart disease, gain expertise in the management of these complex, high acuity patients; co-lead resuscitations; develop proficiency in procedural skills and help families navigate difficult situations
- Participate and contribute in high-quality state-of-art learning and teaching opportunities covering the entire spectrum of congenital and acquired heart disease
We offer a very competitive salary and benefits package including expenses for CME/ professional expenses. A one-year commitment is desirable. Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics and able to obtain a medical license in Pennsylvania.
