Cardiac Catheterization Lab Advanced Practice Provider Position

The Children’s National Cardiac Catheterization lab is one of the most experienced in the country, performing approximately 500 diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures on children and adults with congenital heart disease each year. We offer the full range of congenital interventions, including hybrid surgical procedures, ASD closure, PDA closure and transcatheter valve replacement.

The Cardiac Cath Lab APP position offers an exciting role in interventional cardiology. The APP will manage catheterization patients in the pre- and post-procedure setting, directly assist with cutting edge procedures, and act as a clinical liaison for other care teams in the Heart Center.  This position is unique in its potential to contribute to research and quality improvement. Opportunities for clinical scholarship include coordinating local and multi-center research studies, tracking quality improvement efforts, and participating in interprofessional education.

Prior cardiology knowledge is advantageous but not required; applicants with a strong motivation to learn congenital heart disease and an interest in research are encouraged. Advance your career and make a difference in the rewarding field of congenital heart disease!

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant certification
  • Strong interest in congenital heart disease
  • New graduate PNPs with RN acute care experience are welcome to apply
