This Grand Rounds is intended for anyone interested in learning more about how to write an abstract for quality improvement work. In particular, this webinar will occur prior to the final deadline for PCICS abstracts and is aimed at those who would like to submit an abstract on the topic of QI for the 2026 PCICS meeting.

In this webinar, content experts in quality improvement work in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit will review key components of abstract writing for quality improvement projects. Additionally, speakers will discuss what reviewers look for when evaluating a submission for presentation at a conference. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Outline key differences between a quality improvement abstract and a research abstract 
  • Present essential components of a quality improvement abstract, including specific QI methodology 
  • Provide insight from PCICS conference abstract reviewers on what makes a strong quality improvement abstract
